Green Snake
Not so long ago we were using these pages to sing the praises of Seagalology, the Steven Seagal book written by Vern and published by the UKs Titan imprint. Well, Titan are at it again. Hitting shelves soon will be David Hughes’ The Greatest Scifi Movies Never Made, a complete history of famous non-starters throughout history. Ridley Scott’s I Am Legend? It’s in there. Tim Burton’s Superman Lives? Yeah, that’s there, too. Want to know what almost was and what we should be glad never will be in the world of scifi? Then this is the book for you. And, happy day! We’ve got copies to give away. Want to claim one? All you’ve got to do is by July 21st with the answers to as many of the follow questions as you can come up with:
1) Bolaji Badejo beat which other space veteran to play the part of the Xenomorph in Alien?
2) According to the David Cronenburg film, how many Scanners are on earth?
3) An evil mechanoid Bruce Campbell terrorises Mr Checkov on the lunar surface in which film?
4) In Steven Soderbergh¹s Solaris, Astronaut Chris Kelvin recites a verse of which poem?
5) In the entirety of the first Terminator film, Michael Biehn and Arnold Schwarzenegger in the same frame together only once, when is it?
6) Which cell block do Luke and Han say they are transferring Chewbacca from in Star Wars?
7) “How the Solar System was Won” was the US working title for which Sci-fi film?
8) In Blade Runner, which disease is Toymaker J.F Sebastian suffering from?
9) What links R.Lee Emery, Leonard Nimoy and Nicole Kidman?
10) Who was cut from the film E.T for being deemed “Too distracting” by Steven Spielberg?
Good luck!

I wonder how this is different from his 2002 book?
To be frank, it was a rather poorly researched work. I hope he’s updated it significantly.
