Surprising news here: Word is out that Fox has pulled the plug on the McG produced American remake of classic UK sitcom Spaced. Hurray! Be a good boy or girl and buy the North American DVD release of the original show when it hits this summer.

That’s from Patton Oswalt who does some commentary on the NA DVD release. Truer words have never been spoken. Some shaky DVD artwork released earlier this week but it turned out to be not the official artwork. Once we know you’ll know.

It would almost, ALMOST have been more satisfying to watch it crash and burn. Almost, but not quite.
The sure-to-leak-within-days pilot will make a great double feature (from hell) with the US version of “Red Dwarf”. My only concern is that watching them back to back will give me space herpes.

Great, now if they would just cancel that pointless american redo of Life On Mars so The original series can come out on region 1 DVD instead of being shelved until the american version plays.
There is NO WAY in hell the american version will be anywhere even close to the original.
