Wellwellwell.
As one of the people who bought the lovely Korean boxset of the two “Death Note” movies, I was eagerly awaiting the Korean release for the Death Note spin-off “L: Change the World”.
And it arrived in a nice 3-disc edition, but to my dismay without English subtitles. Darn…
But loyal forumer “TheDoug” was kind enough to investigate, risking his own wallet. And he survived to tell us all that this edition does, in fact, have English subs, and showed the screenshots to prove it.
YesAsia has even changed their listing of this title thanks to the remarks he made to them.
Stellar job, thanks “TheDoug”! Most appreciated.

Like Aardvark I too had originally purchased the “Death Note” movies in the previous Korean LE 3 disc sets because of their beauty and English subtitled option etc. This prompted me to get the similarly formated Korean follow-up “L:Change the World” since many on-line stores listed this Korean set with English subs then, as the (July 21) pre-order date arrived they updated their sites to a “no-subtitle” notice. By that time it was too late to rescind my pre-order and live with the consequences of receiving this new set sans any english translation. Not knowing how many collectors had seen the MadMadkr.com site screenshots I felt obligated to notify various blogs of this error. Hats off to MadMad.co.kr as well for their help in solving this box vs. set-up subtitle snafu by their welcome screenshots!!!

Please, under no circumstances, should you ever purchase any DVD’s without psychically checking for English Subtitles, clearly listen on the back of the DVD holder. There have been way too many times that English Subtitles have been promised and failed to delivered on Korean DVD’S.
