Giant Robots Smash Up Manila! It’s The Full Trailer For RESIKLO!

A good while back we posted the first teaser for Filipino giant robot film Resiklo, which stars active Filipino senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla in the lead, and spurred on by the news that the film just took top honors at the Metro Manila Film Festival - where it scooped a good number of other awards as well, including Best Float which brings up the obvious question of what kind of film festival even has floats, never mind awarding them, and why doesn’t that happen here, dammit - a quick scan turned up a newer, full length trailer that shows off a stack of additional footage. Does it live up to Hollywood? No, of course not, but man does this ever look like a fun cult pleasure ... yes, please ... you’ll find both the teaser and full trailer below the break.
2021, the not too distant future. Global devastation has been brought about by an alien invasion has left the whole planet in chaos. In the Philippines, a rag-tag group of survivors strives to survive in a secret sanctuary called “Paraiso”. Crisval Sarmiento, an ex-military colonel, is the reluctant leader who defends the whole compound from two threats. That of the “Mutanos,” mutated humans serving the insect like alien race (aptly called “Balangs” by the humans) and the alien invaders themselves. Crisval, together with other human survivors soon discover the real reason that the “Balangs” have invaded the planet earth… the conversion of humans to serve their needs. In order to survive, they must go up against a technologically-advanced alien race using robots they have engineered from recycled parts of derelict everyday machines and military components.

Repugnant piece of shit starring an utterly corrupt politician, of a government that murders hundreds of civil libertarians , downgrades its freedom status ( its officially NOT a ” democracy ” anymore ), stokes the ire of the majority indigenous population & making them gag with it, and craps up the rich/poor divide for ’ eco-tourism ‘. I mean, that fucking doofus of a dimwit is a Senator. Where the fuck did he get the damn money to finance this ?
