I was actually disappointed by what I've seen of Depp so far. I was expecting something sinister and creepy, but what we get is creepy in a child molesting sort of way.

willy wonka is supposed to be mysterious and almost sadistic; the way he treats these extreme stereotypes of children (even the on-the-surface perfect angel charlie bucket, who's only downfall is curiosity).
i just can't believe that burton is being praised for this travesty. i can't believe so many people out there are creaming in their jeans for this movie. what the hell is wrong with you people? tim burton and johnny depp have disgraced a brilliant work of fiction.
depp=overrated
burton=hack
i'm sorry but those are my opinions and i feel sorry for the memory of roald dahl and his work for being "reimagined" into this steaming pile of hallucinogenic shit fest.
