Personally, I don't care too much for this poster. It seems to play off of the look of the other posters far too much for my taste. I really was expecting something better. Oh well, I'll still hold out hope for the movie.

its intended to relate to the over posters, theyre effectively a series. cant remeber the name of the artist but hes done lots of these blockbuster type films (indiana jones too...). nice design i say. beautiful drawing.

He did the special edition of Spaced, too. Edgar and Simon were both buzzing about that when they were here promoting Shaun of the Dead ...

meh. they mention the artist on ain't it cool, and they have all the posters lined up at starwars.com
but it still isn't very exciting. nothing that even comes close to the teaser for ep.I

I think it looks OK. Nothing extra eye catching about it or anything, but I do like that style. Now, if only he would have painted Ewan McGregor without the beard....

Yeah, just looks like your standard, run-of-the-mill, trying-to-look-like-the-other-posters type of layout. Rather boring. I doubt anyone else out there has called up their nerdlings in the nerd hoard and screamed "WAKE UP! YOU NEED TO SEE THE NEW POSTER!!!" Nope.
