Hellboy's makeup leaves a stain on Oscar's shirt!

Jumping Catfish! More news on the nominating process over at 'The Academy'. Just out yesterday, the nominees were announced for Acheivement in Makeup and lo and behold, Del Torro's masterpiece, Hellboy, is one of seven nominees. Can you say Huzzah? I knew you could.

All seven nominees in no particular order:
The Aviator
De-Lovely
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
Hellboy
Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events
The Passion of the Christ
The Sea Inside

So, if you don't know already, the nominating committee will get 10 minutes of footage from each film and nominate three of the seven to enter competition to win the Oscar.

While I don't know if it will win or perhaps get nominated for competition wouldn't it be a helluva coup if Hellboy did take it all?

As much as I'd like Hellboy to win I think the Oscar will go to Passion of the Christ or The Aviator.

Hellboy's got to get the nomination, and really it should when just because the makeup work on Hellboy and Abe is all pervasive and works so incredibly well ...
