Two Nicole Kidman Trailers For "The Interpreter" and "Bewitched" Right Here

nicole.jpg You can never get enough Nicole Kidman in my books and if you get over the whole Mrs. Cruise thing, she's been in some great films (Dogville, The Others, Moulin Rouge, Batman Forever - ok that last one was a lie). So if seeing her naked in bath tub with a 10 year old boy in "Birth" didn't really work for you, then your in luck, because she's got at least two more coming out next year.

"The Interpreter" co-stars Sean Penn, the under used Catherine Keener as well as the movies director Sydney Pollack and revolves around a UN interpreter who over hears members of the UN plotting an assassination attempt. The trailer looks pretty straight forward, let's just hope this one doesn't fall into the fold of Pollack's last directorial mission Random Hearts eh Dav-O!

"Bewitched" is the quite possibly a little too late big screen version of the television show that my brother, sister and I used to watch when we were home sick from school. Nicole Kidman plays the Samantha role but the one saving grace of this film may be that Will Ferrell is Darren. I don't really know why this movie had to be made but any use of Will Ferrell is a good thing, but I'm still unsure of how much "Will Ferrell" will be in his role.

Birth was indeed one of the most fascinating films to be released this year. Highly Recommended if you like that Kubrick detached filmmaking style with good use of classical music(and yes, the controversial bathtub scene is pure Kubrick!)

Nicole Kidman is so overrated and I can honestly say I don't like her. At all.

Overrated...yes...but she still has some damn fine films (and is not afraid to take risks)

Consider:

Dead Calm
To Die For
The Others
Dogville
Birth

Each director is from a different country (for the record, Aussie, U.S., Spanish, Danish, and British (respectively)), each film has radically different subject matter, each film is mature and complicated and not formula.

Say the same for Catherine Zeta Jones or Julia Roberts?

I'm not saying she is not over Exposed...she is...but she is hardly untalented.

I just don't like her, and I don't like Catherine Zeta-Jones or Julia Roberts (my least favorite actress), either. The only film I've ever liked with Nicole Kidman in it is Moulin Rouge, and it isn't because of her. Personal opinions, man. I much prefer Angelina Jolie or Natalie Portman.

Wholeheartedly agree on Ms. Portman (Closer is on my 'must-see list' mainly due to her).
I don't understand of Angelina Jolie (or for that matter how she keeps getting work)..at..all. Replace her with Jennifer Connelley and you have my attention.

Well, it's just my personal taste. I love Angelina, and those luscious lips of hers. :p

What about Eyes Wide Shut, that was hardly formualic. It wasn't much good, but certainly an unusual film, which she was brave to attempt. I like Kidman, she is a very good actress, who isn't afraid to try something different and involve herself in projects which she can get her teeth into. She doesnt just take the easy option, which her status and bank ballance could quiet easy allow her do. Jolie, I cant help but look at that women and think (how do I put this nicely) hmmm... What an adventurous lover she would be!! (was that polite enough!?) She looks like she could eat any man alive!? No wonder Billy Bob always used to look drained and tired!! Portman, extremely beautiful girl, but has yet, in my humble opinion, proved herself as an actress. I think Hollywood is struggling at the moment for good quality leading actresses, who in everyones opinion really stands out? Kidman, Zellwegger, Berry (occasionally!) and Uma Thurman! Cant think of anymore

I thought Eyes Wide Shut was deathly boring but that Kidman was excellent in it ... she's very good but VERY emotionally cold. I saw the Bewitched trailer in from of the Spongebob movie and Farrell looks fun in it but I don't know that I buy Kidman playing perky ...

What mrs. cruise thing? that was ages ago!
what kills me is that she has been nominated for some UN award for humanitarian work.

HUH?! I'm sure the money used to make that mini chanel movie really took that into consideration...not.

Kidman was awarded the humanitarian award by the UN for her work with them going over 10 years, she has been a UNICEF ambassador for more than a decade, that is what she was awarded for, she has worked hand in hand with UCLA on their breast cancer programmes. So she gets paid millions by Chanel for appearing in their ad, that is business, you want to hire Kidman, you pay for her name and her services, when you start working, you need to know your worth, showbusiness is not charity. Kidman has done more humanitarian work than most people sniggering in her direction.

Kidman is overrated, yeah right! this lady is an exceptional worker and actress, you may not like her work but to consider her overrated is quite mind-numbing. Angelina Jolie is beautiful, yes but she hasn't done anything remarkable since Girl Interrupted, her recent role in Alexander is so laughably mediocre, it has become a praise to even call her a bad actress, I can't even foresee what kind of actress she will be in her 30s - Lara Croft 10, maybe? One of the best advices Natalie Portman got was from Kidman, who told her to choose directors that are interesting because she'd never know how a movie will turn out and that's what Portman said she is doing.
There is a reason why Wong Kar Wai, Lars Von Trier, Amenabar agreed to work with Kidman because they know she will honour their work and help with their vision.
Very recently she showed more of her talent in Birth, her scene at the opera is not something I can see another actress doing at all. Kidman is an actress that looks beyond the zip code of Beverly Hills to establish herself as one of the best around. Even her failures are still interesting.
There is more to admire on Kidman's CV than what is on Jolie's.

The trailer for The Interpreter certainly looked quite good, if not a bit long. Not to sure of her accent though?

Although not a personal fan of Kidman she certainly has a brilliant talent for acting. Her broad range and depth of roles certainly show this. Its not often you see Jolie playing anything other then the rough and tough woman or Zeta-Jones as anything but a primed and perfect model of a woman, unless you count The Darling Buds of May :P

(I would just like to state I'm no expert and only have limited knowledge of all three's previous acting careers, so my comments are based purely on opinion) 8)
