Website and Trailer for Japanese Drama This World of Ours

The annual Pia Film Festival - by far Japan's best of young, independent film makers - has just wrapped up and the always reliable Jason Gray has some good notes about the fest up on his blog. Prime among those notes are his words in praise of This World Of Ours, the debut feature from Ryo Nakajima, a hard hitting drama that includes on screen suicide attempts, gang rape and terrorism within its run time. Now, Jason's got himself some stellar taste so when he gets all enthusiastic about something it's certainly worth checking out, and this looks to be worth the effort. There's a full English version of the website - though the Japanese version includes more extensive imagery - and there is also an English subtitled version of the trailer, which looks to be stellar stuff. Nice.
