Exactly the extent to which we will be seeing the eight film series, the first three of which are known for the inclusion of Raizo Ichikawa, it's not known - the company touted as releasing these films shall, by my lips, remain nameless because they're delving into the realms of not doing a particularly good job, so I would hold off on this and other stuff of theirs until each one plops out a few reviews I can be sure of.
For now, others can talk about this far more eloquently... no official subbed DVD has so far appeared; the HK discs of the films don't seem to have English Subtitles on them. Yes, 'Lone Wolf and Cub' Star Tomisabaru Wakayama is in here somewhere.

Actually the HK Mei Ah DVDs of the first two films do have fairly awful English subtitles and weak non-anamorphic tranfers. Almost any new DVDs for these should be an updgrade. Let's hope.
Just say it's Animeigo already instead of making people wonder. :P
Yes!!Yes!! These are by far the best ninja films ever made IMO.There was actually 9 films in the series the last being Shinobi No Shu (Mission Iron Castle)I hope all these get released.
So happy to hear this. Love the first film and would love to see the others. The copy I have has those terrible subtitles so I'd love to have an improvement. Just so long as it's not those bastards who screwed up the RAISE THE RED LANTERN release a while back.
