Image Gallery For Jaume Balagueró and Paco Plaza's [Rec]

I liked Balaguero's LOS SIN NOMBRE when I saw it in 1999 but it hasn't aged well. And sadly he hasn't grown as a director since then. His films are still lame SE7EN rip-offs visually and in terms of plot and content he has gone from bad (DARKNESS) to even worse (FRAGILE) in what strikes me as a quest for mainstream success. His short film ALICIA was genius but I have long since stopped anticipating anything he's doing. And lets noit forget he was involved with the abysmal THE NUN... Paco Plaza made SECOND NAME, which I think is actually a better Ramsey Campbell adaptation that LOS SIN NOMBRE. He did ROMASANTA (called THE WEREWOLF HUNTER in the US for whatever dumb reason) after that, which isn't a masterpiece but quite interesting anyway. So I'm really not sure what to make of this new flick. I'll wait for the trailer and adjust my level of interest from there.
