Production I.G to buy out comics publisher Mag Garden

Only just the other day we featured the trailer for Ghost Hound, a now highly anticipated anime series from toon house Production I.G. On Wednesday Production I.G announced plans to buy out comics publisher Mag Garden. The acquisition will give them rights to more properties to turn into animated projects.

Founded in June, 2001, Mag Garden publishes four comic mags under the "Comic Blade" label, as well as more than 100 stand-alone paperbacks. The company is capitalized at Y540,971,000 ($4.4 million). It has had a business tie-up with Production I.G. since November 2006.
