Bring on the Monster Rock! Finnish Eurovision Winners Lordi Star In Dark Floors

Oh, this is too good to make up ... as bizarre as it seems in the first place that a Finnish Monster-Rock band - the members perform in full make up - won the Eurovision Song Contest (their entry was titled Hard Rock Hallelujah) but they've now parlayed that win into a feature film.

Co-written by lead singer Mr. Lordi - the demon figure in the poster - the film revolves around a demonic attack on a hospital, the only hope of survival an autistic girl. Here's the synopsis:

Concerned for her autistic daughter’s health, the father sees a removal from the hospital by force as the only option. An elevator break-down prevents a smooth exit and renders them trapped with others. Yet the incident is only the beginning of a descent into nightmare. As the doors open the hospital appears mysteriously deserted. When mutilated bodies are found, creatures from a dark world start a frightening attack. It soon becomes clear that the survival of the group may rest solely on the little girl.

The band members - Mr Lordi, Amen the unstopable mummy, Awa the vampire countess, Ox the hellbull and Kita the alien manbeast - will be playing the villains with the rest of the cast made up of American and British performers.
