A teaser trailer for Giovanni Pianigiani's Darkness Surrounds Roberta was recently added to YouTube. The movie is being produced by Cinema Image Productions in association with Gothic Produzioni and Rosecalypse.

The screenplay for Darkness Surrounds Roberta was written by Pianigiani and Bruno di Marcello. The movie's cast includes Yassmin Pucci, Leandro Guerrini, Fabrizio Croci, Raine Brown (she's also in Kevin Higgins' Plasterhead), Joseph Zaso, Riccardo Calvanese, Alfredo Arciero, Eileen Daly, Valeria De Vivo, and Timo Rose.

Here's a set-up for Darkness Surrounds Roberta from the production: "The game has begun. ¶ Lurking the narrow, shadowy streets of Florence, Italy is a murderer. ¶ The only thing we truly know is that a powerful, unstoppable darkness surrounds Roberta Parenti. ¶ Roberta (Yassmin Pucci): What unspeakable evil stalks this confused Italian socialite? ¶ Derek (Joseph Zaso): What dark, unfathomable secrets lie behind this blind policeman's eyes? ¶ Sandro (Leandro Guerrini): This cop has solved countless violent cases, but could Roberta's be his last? ¶ Paolo (Fabrizio Croci): Will this loveless backstabber discover that running for office really is murder? ¶ Dora (Raine Brown): Why is this young vixen compelled to use and abuse all those around her? ¶ Eleanor (Eileen Daly): Will a lifetime of exploiting the innocent finally catch up with this 'businesswoman'? ¶ And who or what is hiding behind the hideous Mask of Baphomet?"
