Sweden Goes Crusading With Arn

I'm at a loss to explain the sudden surge in Crusades-themed films right now, I really am. Sure, tensions between Christians and Muslims is topical right now but does anybody really think it's a good idea to be trying to profit from films about organized campaigns meant to slaughter Muslims wholesale? Really? Yeah, I'm over simplifying, but no more than people on either side of this particular divide are wont to do whenever it suits their purposes ...

Regardless, there are a bunch of these films in the works right now and Sweden's entry is Arn, an adaptation of a popular series of novels. The film's got an all star cast of Sweden's best and a massive budget by local standards and it looks as though every penny has been put on screen. The website includes loads of information and a complete English version so there's plenty to look at.
