Elizabeth: The Golden Age Trailer

Fresh off the announcement that Shekhar Kapur's Elizabeth Sequel will get its big premiere at TIFF comes the domestic trailer for the film. Big theatre, broad acting and sumptuous costumes seem to be the order of the day. I do not recall the original (has it been nearly a decade since that?) being so blunt in the dialogue department. This could be the spectacle film for adults this year (Pirates of the Caribbean for the over-30 set if you will) with Clive Owen in the Johnny Depp role and Geoffrey Rush, er, well...in the Geoffrey Rush role. Interestingly, two of the finest actresses face off as royalty - Cate Blanchett as Elizabeth I and Samantha Morton as Mary Queen of Scots. Historical mileage will vary.
