Apparently the good lads at Pixar weren't messing around when they talked recently about speeding up their production cycle to try to release a film every year. While Brad Bird's Ratatouille continues to whip the boy into a frenzy of pre-release excitement they've just dropped the teaser trailer for their next film, sci-fi adventure Wall-E. This trailer, of course begged one immediate question: why have they waited so long to make a sci-fi film?
As is the case with every advance teaser that Pixar has ever released this tells you precisely nothing about the actual story while also giving you a remarkably good feel for the central character and I love what little I'm seeing. Plus it's got Andrew Stanton at the helm and he's been nothing but gold so far. Yeah, I'm a fan.
Wall-E trailer (embedded Quicktime, sizes and resolutions o-plenty)
I love this little teaser -- so much so, it gave me some chills.
You can find some details about the story here -- but be warned, it's pretty indepth and could be considered a little on the spoiler-ish side of things.
This teaser is also attached to the front of Ratatouille. Very cool, and I love the use of music from the Brazil soundtrack. :-)
