The new Coen Brothers film, No Country For Old Men, which was very well received at Cannes, now has a trailer online. It is in the wrong aspect ratio (at Variety no less...very strange) and shoddily compressed - so fair warning. It still looks excellent though. And yes, that is Josh Brolin on the left.

I read the novel about 6 months ago. I am really looking forward to this, even if it is The Coen's "vision" of it. Books are books, films are films.
But dammit, when Blood meridian happens they better adhere mighty close or I'm going to whine up a storm, hehehe.
Looks mighty fine to me. Javier Bardem is such a bad ass, but it's strange listening to him with that southern accent. The Choens have been letting me down for the last few flicks but this looks like it could be very good.
I have a hard time taking Bardem seriously as Chigurh with his Monkees haircut.
There's a proper Quicktime trailer at Rotten Tomatoes.

what the bleep was that ?
trailers should be banned from this here earth
and if that's what the cohens did to that novel
i'mma ban them too.
looked more like a take on action movies than a grand story about life and circles.
