A couple days after the news of the partnership between Columbia Pictures [Sony] and Stephen Chow's production company The Star Overseas there has arisen all sorts of speculation about what the other four projects would be, the first being the Hip-Hop Martial Arts Dance fusion titled Jump.
On Friday, Hong Kong's Oriental Daily reported that, possibly, one of these projects might be a non-comedy anti-war movie set in the 40s and 50s in which Stephen Chow would play a deserter. Stephen Chow has expressed an interest in doing an anti-war film but he has never confirmed when he would do it. Chow usually is pretty mum on his projects and doesn't give too many details away. So, this is all merely speculation and sounds like someone is trying to sell newspapers. Oh you silly newspapers. It would be good though, seeing Chow offer up a role other than comedic.
Oriental Daily also reported that a third project would be a martial-art comedy with characters from many classic martial-art movies.
