Those not being able to find David Lynch's latest at the cinema will not have to wait too much longer. DavisDVD has a small update on the Inland Empire DVD. A two disc set is coming August 14th through Rhino Entertainment. Extras to be featured on the disc are "Lynch 2: Behind The Scenes of Inland Empire With David Lynch," "Talks With Laura Dern and David Lynch: More Things That Happened (Additional Character Experiences)," and David Lynch cooks Quinoa (Yes folks, you too can watch David Lynch make his rice dinner.)

Sorry. Count me out. This movie was a great lesson in endurance. Once was more than enough.
Quinoa isn't rice.
That is why we are a film blog and not food blog! It is prepared and such close enough for me not to know the difference, either way, you've got Mr. Lynch cooking dinner for the pleasure of the viewing audience, much like his very enjoyable weather reports from last year.
the best Lynch film ever
that was entertainment !!!!!!!
laura dern was amazing, lynch cryptic as ever:
strange......what love can do
If you appreciate Lynch's style you will love this film.
I don't know if anyone could possibly know the answer to this question...but Lynch has spoken publicly in the past about exploring the option of releasing an extended cut of the film (when the theatrical version was already three hours!) for DVD, as they apparently shot a lot of footage that didn't make the final release version (which I guess is understandable when you shoot a heavily improvised movie on video over a three-year period). Well, I just placed the forthcoming DVD on my wish-list at DVD Empire (preferred general online DVD retailer of choice), and their listing for the film gives a running time of...310 minutes!!! I know that it's possible that the running time of the extra features have been incorporated into the total running time of the DVD, but I've always found this to be a listing practice more utilized by Asian (particularly Korean) DVD releases, and rarely one employed by American DVD specs. Is it actually possible that he has expanded the film to 5 hours and 16 minutes?!
