Official Website, Trailer and Music Video for Pen-Ek Ratanaruang's Ploy!

PloyPoster.jpgThey're downloading frustratingly slowly as I type this so I have no idea what they look like but the official website for Pen-Ek Ratanaruang's Ploy has launched, along with the first official trailer and music video. Ratanaruang's latest, Invisible Waves, was something of a disappointment to me but the man is still easily one of my favorite film makers in the world so a first glimpse of this is something more than a little exciting ...

A collage of citrusy iPod images...now that's a pretty weird layout. Trailer was sweet though. Still carrying that soft, elegiac Doyle style I see..interesting given that he's not on this one.

Nice images, horrible trailer music. Well, maybe just a horrible trailer. The movie still looks like it will be awesome, but it looks like they're trying to market it as something more mainstream/traditional (?).

Of course, anything would probably seem traditional after making two movies about a yakuza who wants to kill himself.
