Signed Everything's Gone Green Poster and Soundtrack Giveaway!

(Posted In Giveaways )

eggartUS.jpgI make no secret at all about my love for Canadaian author Douglas Coupland and we've been tracking the progress of Coupland's first screenplay - Everything's Gone Green - as it progresses from page to screen. Following its successful festival run the film has started to roll out across the US and Canada over the past week with it poised to hit screens here in Toronto this Friday, April 27th, before expanding to more markets in coming weeks. And to celebrate the producers have passed along some fine Everything's Gone Green swag for us to pass along to you, the Twitch faithful. Here's what we've got:

Five copies of the uncensored Canadian poster - essentially the same as the one to the left, only with the pot leaf left intact - signed by author Douglas Coupland, director Paul Fox, and stars Steph Song and Paulo Costanzo.

Five copies of the official soundtrack CD - which is damn good, by the way - also signed by Coupland, Fox, Song and Costanzo.

Want one? It's simple. Drop me a note by May 5th simply stating the name of the television show Coupland is currently developing. Good luck!

This is entirely a piece of trash. I cannot agree. You are a fool if you think this is wonderful. Only bumbling fools with low IQs like this claptrap rubbish.

similar to the question i just asked in the comments section of the chuck palahniuk post, what are some top-tier coupland novel recommendations from someone (such as todd) who knows about + loves his writing? i'm only familiar w/ 'generation x,' and i would like to freshen up on my coupland before the new film comes out. thanks in advance...

Go right to Mircoserfs which is a fun read. I also enjoyed "Hey, Nostradamus" which I found more emotional then his other work and the first half of "Elanor Rigby" really gripped me. I've heard that Girlfriend in a Coma is also a fun read, but stay away from JPOD till you've gone through a few more of his books. It's a semi-sequel to Micro and didn't even more light then his others work. It just didn't do anything for me.

I personally put Coupland into three distinct tiers. At the top are Life After God - without a doubt his best - Generation X, Microserfs, All Families Are Psychotic and probably Eleanor Rigby. A notch down are Shampoo Planet, Miss Wyoming, JPod. And on the bottom rung are Girlfriend in a Coma (which I found really pandered to his press), Polaroids From the Dead and others.
