(Posted In Film News Horror Trailer Alert USA and Canada )

hunting_season_still01.jpgNathan Wrann's Hunting Season is scheduled to have its U.S. première at Daniel Street in Milford, Connecticut on June 7th at 8:00 p.m.. The movie had its world première in Kirkuk, Iraq on February 23rd.

As was previously reported here on Twitch, the screenplay for Hunting Season was written by Nathan Wrann, based on a story by him, Kimberly Dalton, and Elliot Wrann. The movie stars Tenzin Namdol as Mel, Michael Wrann as Tyler, Annunziata Rigoli as Sandy, Patrick Beck as Andrew, Paul Fedor as Keegan, Jessica Orciuch as Alicia, J. Brown as Donnie, Covenant Bohn as Cal, William Cole as Junior, and Bret Logan as The Priest.

Here's a description of Hunting Season from the official website for the movie: "Six friends go camping deep in the woods for 'the best weekend ever'. But after an encounter turns tragic, a pair of sadistic hunters sets out to wreak relentless, violent revenge. ¶ Hunting Season is the brainchild of director Nathan Wrann. Dissatisfied with the caliber of modern independent horror movies, Nathan started out to write the horror movie he'd like to see - literate and coherent in plot, and brutal and unrelenting in tension. With Hunting Season, he has hit the mark with a vengeance."

This is a great little throwback to the wet hot splatter films of my youth.
