Toshimichi / Shundo Ohkawa's 'Nobody' (Remastered) R1 USA DVD May 22nd 2007.

I will give a belated specific mention to this upcoming release even though I've known about it for some time, mostly because I stumbled upon a trailer for it... and although this has had a previous DVD release in America, back in 2001, I think many will love to get their hands on some more of Riki Takeuchi yakuza action. Yes, this man is prolific to say the least, but I really like his appearances in more atypical stuff, his roles for Takashi Miike for example are both fodder for Yakuza Movie fans and something a little more unusual at the same time - this film's perhaps for fans of the genre and those that like slightly darker approaches to tense situations even though it's apparently not much of an action movie, from what I can gleen from reviews.

Toshimichi Ohkawa made this back in 1999, and recently made a rare contribution to film in the shape of the script for Miike's 'Taiyo No Kizu' ('Scars of the Sun'; still waiting for this one!) - another Yakuza movie featuring other genre regular Sho Aikawa.
