Masao Adachi's The Prisoner (Yûheisha - terorisuto - or "Yûheisha - terrorist", if you prefer back-transliterations) is scheduled to have its international (i.e., outside-of-Japan) première at Nippon Connection in Frankfurt, Germany on April 19th; Adachi is expected to attend. Slow Learner Y.K. (Y.K. Surô Rânâ) released the movie at the Euro Space (Yûro Supêsu) in Tokyo on February 3rd.

As was previously reported here and there on Twitch, the screenplay for The Prisoner was written by Adachi. The movie's principal cast apparently is as follows: Tomorowo Taguchi, Panta, Taka Ôkubo, Jôji Kajiwara, Arata, Shôichi Honda, Hiroshi Yamamoto, Tokio Emoto, Nao Okabe, Yutaka Hiramatsu, Manami Higa, Genpei Akasegawa, Ryôsuke Uryû, Katsuya Kobayashi, Shô Ryûzanji, Shigeru Nakano, Hotaru Hazuki (Haduki Hotaru), Kôji Wakamatsu, Masao Matsuda, Masaaki Hiraoka, Toshiyuki Matsushima, Yôko Nagisa, Yûtokutaishi Akiyama, Yoshihiro Katô, Inuhiko Yomota, Takahisa Zeze, Kiyomi Itô, and Keiko Oginome.

Here's a brief description of The Prisoner from the Nippon Connection website: "During a suicide attack on an airport, »M«'s handgrenade malfunctions and he is captured. In prison he slowly loses his grip on reality... Legendary political filmmaker Masao ADACHI's return to filmmaking after 35 years."
