Marché du Film: Yukihiko Tsutsumi's THE SWORD OF ALEXANDER (TAITEI NO KEN)

Distribution rights for Yukihiko Tsutsumi's The Sword of Alexander (Taitei no ken) are to be offered for sale by Toei Company Ltd. (Tôei K.K.) at this year's Marché du Film in Cannes, which runs from May 16th to 26th. Toei released the movie theatrically in Japan on April 7th.

The screenplay for The Sword of Alexander (Taitei no ken) was written by Akira Amasawa, based on the eponymous serialized story "Taitei no ken" by Baku Yumemakura. The movie stars (listed order corresponds to order on cast page of official website) Hiroshi Abe, Kyôko Hasegawa, Kankurô Kudô (second from the top), Meisa Kuroki, Riki Takeuchi, Kôji Ôkura, Naomasa Musaka, Aya Sugimoto, Ken'ichi Endô, Masahiko Tsugawa, Hirotarô Honda, and Tôru Emori. Yoshitaka Amano designed the characters for it.
