wolf, i realised yesterday that in the 'gatchaman' announcement was a new miike project, 'yatterman' (live action) from takashi miike... based on some 70s anime that i know nothing off, do you? would love to hear more on it, if you can find anything. there's also another ryuichi hiroki film mentioned there today, from wowow, called 'your friend' which i will be interested to see more of as time progresses - more inclined to go for trailers and viewing opportunities than new project announcements myself...

I'm not fimilar with Yatterman as well. The basic premise according to wikipedia is there is a mysterious stone that is able to reveal the location of gold. A team of heros known as the "Yatterman" are looking for it. The villians are "Dorombo gang" who are also looking for it too. There is a giant dog-shaped all-terrain rescue robot in it. If you like to see how it looks, just run "yattaman" through youtube. Looks too silly for my taste. Not my cup of tea.
