Sigh. I suppose the obvious answer to that question is that not only is Dupuis Canadian, he's French Canadian. Which means that no matter how much stellar work he does he's not likely to be seen very widely since Quebecois film generally doesn't travel particularly well. Personally, I last saw Dupuis in Francis Leclerc's excellent Memoires Affectives - my review here - but the man has an extensive resume filled with simply stellar work. If he ever stumbles, I've never seen him do it.
Dupuis latest starring role is in Robert Budreau's religio-archaeological thriller That Beautiful Somewhere in which he stars as a weathered northern Ontario cop investigating a death at a native healing ground. Advance press on this has been stellar and the trailer is a starkly beautiful piece of work. Very, very good stuff. The film releases in Canadian theatres April 20th, no word yet on any sort of US release.

From your thoughts and the trailer, this looks to be a good one. I hope you guys report on a DVD release of this, since I wouldn't expect to see it in the states.
And he kicked ass in SCREAMERS. Also I saw Peter Weller play jazz this weekend.
Alway nice to see a little love out there for SCREAMERS. Nice.
I hope the US gets this film. It looks very intriging, besides love anything with R. D. in it he is very talanted. Please let me know if it come to the US.
