New Footage for Fumihiko Sori's Vexille

vexille.jpgSome footage for Vexille (ベクシル 2077 日本鎖国), the sci-fi CG animated film from Fumihiko Sori, the director of Ping Pong and the producer of Appleseed has made its way on to Youtube. This appears to be recorded from a Japanese televison show which share animation style simiilar to Appleseed Saga Ex Machina. Its a little over a minute long and features some shots of explosive action and great visuals. Click here for the synopsis.

Shochiku Films is scheduled to release the animated film in Japan around August.

Ooh very nice. I just hope it doesn't fall in to the same trap that Ghost in the Shell and similar other films do. Too heavy handed philisophical mumbo jumbo.

Looks stunning, with interesting designs too.

And for me it can fall in any trap if it's even half as good as either of the GitS movies. ;-)
