John Jeffcoat's Outsourced is scheduled to be screened at the Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles (IFFLA) on Friday April 20th at 7:00 p.m..
As was previously reported here on Twitch, the screenplay for Outsourced was written by Jeffcoat and George Wing. The movie stars Josh Hamilton, Ayesha Dharker, Asif Basra, Matt Smith, and Larry Pine.
Here's a description of Outsourced from the IFFLA website: "Todd Anderson, a sales executive for an American novelty products company, sees his entire sales force sacked when the company decides to outsource their customer service jobs to India. Todd's job is momentarily spared on the condition that he travels to India to train his replacement. From the moment that he steps off the plane in Mumbai he is perplexed by the culture and customs of India. Still, he forges ahead to teach his new batch of recruits the idiosyncrasies of American business practices as they strive to meet stringent sales quotas. In time, Todd gets to know and understand what motivates the people in his office and learns a few things about life and love in the process. ¶ Director John Jeffcoat was awarded the John Schlesinger Award for Outstanding First Feature at the Palm Springs Film International Festival for this original comedy about business practices, culture clashes, love and understanding."
