Making the move from critic to film maker is not an easy thing but Rue Morgue founder Rodrigo Gudino did exactly that last year with his debut short film The Eyes of Edward James being very well received at the Toronto International Film Festival and many others around the world. Well, Gudino is back with his second offering - The Demonology of Desire - and he has passed along a quartet of stills for your viewing pleasure. Here's the official synopsis:

It’s not love if there’s no suffering.

Late one night, Ramona makes a powerful wish. The following day, her prayer is miraculously answered when she meets Eric, a boy with no idea of the dark, fantastical depths that a boyhood crush can lead him. Equal parts fatal fable, romantic thriller and artcore horror, THE DEMONOLOGY OF DESIRE is a love story… with a caustic heart.
