First Trailer for Perfect Creature

A trailer for Glenn Standring's Perfect Creature has turn up online via Upcominghorrormovies.com. Budget at $20 million, the casts include Dougray Scott, Saffron Burrows, Thomas Kretschmann, Leo Gregory, Stuart Wilson and Scott Willis. Here's the synopsis as taken from Arclight films:

Set during the 1960s in an alternate New Zealand known as Nuovo Zelandia, PERFECT CREATURE imagines a world where vampires and humans peacefully co-exist, with the bloodsuckers the next step in human evolution.

This delicate balance looks to be destroyed when an influenza epidemic begins to sweep the human population and one vampire turns to preying on humans. The church sends out Silus (Scott) to catch the renegade vampire, Edgar. Silus joins forces with a human police captain (Burrows), and discovers that Edgar harbors dark secrets.

In 2005, the kiwi sci-fi horror was acquired by 20th Century Fox and while the North America release date remains unknown, the Netherlands will be the first country to see it in a couple weeks on DVD.
