[Korean Film News] Hardboiled Actioner "Su" [수] Comes To Theatres This Month

Choi Yang-il, who in 2004 brought us the extremely violent Blood and Bones starring Takeshi Kitano and the prison film Doing Time (2002), returns this month with Su [수], an action/drama about a cold-blooded man who plans to avenge the murder of his twin brother. The first Korean film by ethnic Korean director Choi, Su stars Ji Jin-Hee in his first action picture, in which he takes on the roles of both brothers. Quite frankly, after watching the Korean TV drama Rebirth (부활, 2005), about a man who learns he has a twin brother, I've all but lost interest in this sort of thing, but fans of gore ought to be pleased. The film is scheduled for release March 22, 2007.
