BIFFF: Kei Fujiwara's ID (IDO)

I'm dying to see this film.

Don't hold your hopes up too high. There's a reason why it hasnt been screened anywhere yet. Its really bad.

What did you think of ORGAN? If you loved ORGAN and hated ID I'll consider myself warned. If you hated ORGAN as well I'll happily disregard your comment.

i would love to know what's happening with miike's 'bodyguard kiba 2', and 'kisarazu cats eyes' plus 'scrap heaven'. its one thing to suffer delays, as MB seems to have in terms of pressing DVDs in the last 6 to 12 months, but to announce and retract in a way potentially like paul spurriers 'P' is (for me) even more disconcerting. oh, and i am torn over 'organ', but still find enough interest in 'ID'.

I can't find any cut/uncut info about the UK release on the BBFC website so I assume the "18" logo on that cover isn't official yet.

Wonder if Terra will make a better effort than they did with their abysmal Haze DVD.

caterpillar - the BBFC often certify films right at the last minute, and lots of that depends on the company and their side of things - not just the BBFCs side of the deal. it's also possible for them to update their site after release, and for companies that are due to release a film to speculate (sometime you'll see a 'TBC' on a cert for an artwork) rather safely. this film is almost certainly likely to be an 18, i would guess!

there's no way of telling before hand, potentially not even if you've seen the film. this is partly why, given the nature of film with content that circles around the 18 certificate, that UK buyers tend to head towards foreign editions for the safest option - usually cheaper too - in order to avoid disappointment with an intimidating censorship system... and a small market base for such films around here too, so other reasons to be looking elsewhere also.

Been kinda interested in this for a while now...released on my birthday, so uncut format would be a nice pressie!

I've seen it yesterday on the BIFFF festival...and it's sh*t...granted, me and my buddies expected it, we all had I good laugh and a fun night out but I totally not recommend this movie... David Lynch also makes weirdo movies that nobody understands but in this movie basically everybody is just screaming of fear all the time mixed with B-movie special effects.
If you want to see a cult movie, go watch Tetsuo II: body hammer

And answer to previous discussion.. if this movie was cut, their wouldn't be anything left but the credit titles, I think :-)

Saw it at the BIFFF last week, must say there are some issues with this flick. I thought I had nodded of or gone on admiring the Nova's awesomeness for a microsecond too long. I felt like I was missing some important story connection. However, I wasn't alone and none of the people I spoke to later was able to tell me what went wrong. The film is a bit of a mess
