(Shôchiku K.K.): "A popular animation adapted into live-action for the first time, using cutting-edge CGI from studios around the world, including Centro Digital Pictures ('Kill Bill', 'Kung Fu Hustle'). Starring Eiji Wentz from the popular duo WaT. Kitaro is a half-human, half-yokai who was orphaned as a child. He is dedicated to keeping the peace between the human and yokai worlds. He finds out that a magical ball which controls all powers has been brought into the human world. He tries to save that world from falling into the wrong hands."

Shochiku is scheduled to release Kitaro theatrically in Japan on April 28th.
