Simply fantastic news for fans of experimental animation here. New York's Zeitgeist Films have just announced the April 24th release of Phantom Museums, a deluxe two disc edition of the complete short films of The Brothers Quay. This set includes material never before available, features heavy involvement from the Brothers themselves, and features remastered versions of the films that have been previously available - something long been requested by fans. Also coming April 24th is the Zeitgeist DVD release of the Brothers latest feature, The Piano Tuner of Earthquakes.

To anyone who has seen the two new shorts(in absentia, phantom museum), are they any good? Is it worth picking this up if you already have the kino collection?
in abentia is one of the best things they've done, so yeah, it's worth the update if you ask me. I also have the Kino collection and updated with the recent BFI R2 edition (which seems to be the same as this release)
