Give A Listen To The Score For The Coen's No Country For Old Men

(Posted In Drama Film News USA and Canada )
Back in early January the good people at Film Ick pointed us to the first still for the Coen Brothers' upcoming No Country for Old Men, courtesy of composer Carter Burwell's official site. And now they're pointing the way two a pair of audio samples lifted from the films score, once again posted on Burwell's official home page. Says he:
The film is the quietest I've worked on. Often there is no sound but wind and boots on hard caliche or stocking feet on concrete. Then again there are shootouts involving an unknown number of shooters with shotguns and automatic weapons. It was unclear for a while what kind of score could possibly accompany this film without intruding on this raw quiet.

Thanks for the head's-up! Really looking forward to this one, and any tidbit of information I can get is very welcome. This is sounding (literally, and figuratively) like a return to form for the Coens and I couldn't be happier. I can already hear how those sine waves are going to match up with the film's imagery.
