Frankenhooker Director Frank Henenlotter Returns To The Big Screen With Bad Biology!

(Posted In Comedy Cult Film News Horror USA and Canada )

badbiology.jpgThey're being tight lipped with details and stills so far but Frankenhooker director Frank Henenlotter is poised to make a return to the big screen with Bad Biology, his first new film in roughly fifteen years. What do we know? It's being edited right now, will rely dominantly on practical effects and is "a twisted tale of love and weirdness. Driven by biological excess, a young man and woman search for sexual fulfillment, unaware of each other's existence. Unfortunately, they eventually meet, and the bonding of these two very unusual human beings ends in an explosive and ultimately over-the-top sexual experience, resulting in a truly godawful love story.... With bizarre special effects by Gabe Bartalos, a hip-hop soundtrack from Prince Paul, and shot in glorious 35mm, BAD BIOLOGY is guaranteed to shock even the most desensitized of audiences, and sure to become a modern cult classic."

More details as we get them.

It's about time someone brought in Prince Paul to score a movie. He was supposed to score POOTIE TANG, but was replaced at the last minute and given a "Music Supervisor" credit because the filmmakers felt bad about the last-minute firing. POOTIE TANG, it goes without saying, sucked - as you'd expect from any project dumb enough to replace Prince Paul with QD3, a ****-up comparable to firing Chow Yun-Fat and Tony Leung from HARD-BOILED and recasting both parts with Michael Wong in a dual role. BAD BIOLOGY seems a LOT more in line with Paul's musical obsession with horror, sex, and the generally peculiar than POOTIE TANG ever could have been. This ought to be freaking awesome. There better be a soundtrack album, that's all I'm saying.

Henenlotter: It's two people with severe sexual extremities and the opening line of dialogue is a woman saying “I was born with seven clits”, okay?!

I guess I should post something about Henenlotter here, but Rhythm-X's post reminded me what a travesty of justice it is that we get two director's cuts of Alexander and not even one for Pootie Tang. Sigh.
