Beware the Bunny. Here Come Hank and Mike.

February 6, 2007. Toronto. Hank & Mike, the first feature film of 2007 in Ontario, starring Joe Mantegna (The Simpsons,The Godfather III) Wes Bentley (Ghost Rider, Weirdsville, American Beauty), Thomas Michael (Greg & Gentillon, Kevin Hill, The Eleventh Hour), Paolo Mancini (Run Robot Run, Greg & Gentillon) begins principal photography on February 7, 2007. Filming will take place in Toronto and continue through to March 2, 2007.

Directed by Matthiew Klinck (Greg & Gentillon. Tagayet) who also directed the short film of the same name, co-written by Paolo Mancini and Thomas Michael, Hank & Mike is produced by Nicholas Tabarrok of Darius Films Inc. (Weirdsville, The Life and Hard Times of Guy Terrifico), Thomas Michael of Peeping Tom Films (Greg & Gentillon) and Pierre Even of Cirrus Productions Inc. (C.R.A.Z.Y.), with Sean Buckley (Keys to the VIP, Rich Bride, Poor Bride) and Morris Ruskin (Everything¹s Gone Green, Weirdsville, Glengarry Glen Ross) serving as Executive Producers. Cinematography by Glen Keenan (2nd Unit DoP on Four Brothers, Cinderella Man, The Tuxedo), production design by Oleg M. Savytski (A Lobster Tale, Weirdsville) and costume design by Joanna Syrokomla (Le Mozart Noir, The Dark Hours, .45). Christal Films will distribute in Canada and Shoreline Entertainment is handling international sales. Hank & Mike is slated for an Easter, 2008 release.

Hank & Mike is the story of two foul-mouthed, blue-collar Easter Bunnies who get fired and try their hand at an assortment of odd jobs, failing at each. Fighting depression, debt and eventually each other, their lives start to unravel until they realize that without their job, they are nothing.

"Like most producers, I have read many scripts about unemployed Easter bunnies,² said Producer Nicholas Tabarrok, ³but this one is by far better than all the others. I would go so far as to say this is the best and funniest script about unemployed Easter bunnies I have ever read."
