EFM: Manetti Bros.' THE 17TH FLOOR (PIANO 17)

Distribution rights for Manetti Bros.' The 17th Floor (Piano 17) are to be offered for sale by Minerva Pictures Group s.r.l. at this year's European Film Market (EFM) in Berlin, Germany. The movie is scheduled to be screened at the Marriott 1 on Monday February 12th at 11:30 a.m.. It had its world première at the Courmayeur Noir in Festival in Italy on December 10, 2005. Moviemax Italia s.r.l. released it theatrically in Italy on March 3rd of last year, and on DVD (PAL, region 2, Italian w/ English subtitles) there on August 2nd of last year; the DVD release is being distributed by Mondo Home Entertainment S.p.A..

The screenplay for The 17th Floor was written by Manetti Bros. (Antonio and Marco Manetti), Anatole Pierre Fuksas, and Giampaolo Morelli. The movie stars (Giampaolo) Morelli, Elisabetta Rocchetti, Enrico Silvestrin, Giuseppe Soleri, Antonino Iuorio, and Massimo Ghini.

Here's a synopsis for The 17th Floor from the Courmayeur Noir in Festival's website: "Mancini (Giampaolo Morelli) must place a bomb inside the offices of a big bank, in order to destroy some important and burdensome documents belonging to a dodgy customer. ¶ After disguising himself as a member of the cleaning staff, and priming the bomb with a timer, he gets trapped in the elevator with two unsuspecting clerks (Elisabetta Rocchetti and Giuseppe Soleri), who are returning home from work. ¶ Outside the building his two accomplices, Pittana and Borgia (Enrico Silvestrin and Antonino Iuorio), are keeping on eye on the situation, apparently waiting for the man to complete his mission. ¶ With time working against him and the pressure reaching the boiling point, Mancini begins to realize that his two friends might not be looking out for him as they are supposed to...."
