The rumour mill is speculating that Mike Myers (who has kept a very low profile since the last Austin Powers flick and the Dr. Seuss misfire) is preparing a film to feature his Guru Pitka charcter. He has been quietly testing out the character on stage to small shows. This is scary stuff kids as Myers is going to broadside Indian stereotypes the way he went after the 60's Brits and the Dutch over the course of the International Man of Mystery Trilogy.
"Myers has two Guru scripts in development at Paramount. Myers's agent at CAA, David O'Connor told the New York Times, "He's a love guru ... He's somebody who's become an expert on relationships. That's what leads me to think that if it works, it can be a franchise."

anyone else see this as potentially being the nail in the coffin of mike myers's career? i hope not, but i do NOT get a good feeling from that poster.
There's something incredibly creepy and just plain wrong with it isn't there? I don't mean from a racism angle, I just mean odd.
Perhaps Myers should take a note at all the Big Brother furore, and other recent Hollywood attempts at stereotyping Indians, such as The Guru - else he'll be about as welcome on UK screens as Jade Goody.
