Go POSTAL with Herr Boll!

UPDATED - trailer link fixed

The one and only Uwe Boll, whose large-scale Dungeon Siege currently languishes unreleased, has another high-brow offering on its way - an adaptation of the video game Postal. Two versions of the trailer have appeared online in several spots, one SFW, the other not so much.

I'm sorry, but color me excited. This man has redefined bad filmmaking in our time, and things are only looking up (well, down - well, you know what I mean) with Siege and Postal. My friends and I drove 45 mintues to see Bloodrayne in theaters, smuggled wine we bought at a gas station (so very, very apt) into the cinema, and had a grand old time. And we'll do it again!

Trailer B (SFW but not your soul) (Youtube)

I dont think anything needs to be said about that quite frankly.

Nothing except that the links are perpetually broken, Bollbashers is apparently running their servers on a Atari 800 or something.

There is a in the works trailer for Postal on Youtube. I watched it silent and it looked fucking hillarious. Don't know if it will be as good with the sound on.

Here's the NSFW trailer for Postal if Bollbashers is down: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3KvR0Wkbs6k

Poor Dave Foley. I don't think I can ever watch Newsradio again. :(

Thanks for the heads-up on the bad links, guys.

NSFW indeed, that's more Dave Foley than I needed to see. Boll's track record speaks for itself, but I have to give him credit for clearly attempting (attempting, mind you) to channel an early John Waters vibe. "My movies are financed with Nazi gold" - that's funny, and who can't laugh at hot chimp-on-man action? Never mind, don't answer that. Looks like the most expensive Troma movie ever made - and I can't imagine anyone other than Troma actually picking this film up if they can even afford it. Boll may have actually made something here that works on the level it was intended to - as an exercise in VERY poor taste.

At least DUNGEON SIEGE has Ching Siu-Tung handling the action sequences - Ching and Jason Statham (who's among the most adept and convincing of contemporary western actors when it comes to HK-style action) working together is something that merits a rental if nothing else. Especially since I could fast-forward all the Bollshit and get to the good parts with ease.

"Bollshit" has been added to the lexicon.

HAHA.

THIS LOOKS LIKE A TROMA FILM.

I guess when you realize that you suck, you might as well make purposely bad films.

That actually made me laugh, possibly enough to want to go see Mr. Boll's film. Now I'm truly discombobulated.

danny, exactly what I thought. Troma.

The funny thing is Uwe Boll makes bad films for bad videogames. These are games (save for House of the Dead) you wouldn't want to admit plunking down $50.00 for. Regardless, uber-geeks come out of the woodwork crying that "herr boll" is ruining their franchise. Well, boo hoo. Get a life.

All that said, this trailer made me smile. Looks like stupid stupid fun.
