Because he's getting paid an obnoxious amount of money to be, well, obnoxious.
Russian website Kino Govno have somehow gotten an early look at the first teaser for Rush Hour 3 and have tossed the thing up on RapidShare in multiple formats. I highly doubt this is any sort of authorized release so get to it quick before it disappears. Gotta love how the only person named in the voice over is Brett Ratner. Because, you know, people go see Jackie Chan movies because of who the director is ...

Well he did direct some of the highest grossing movies in recent years. But you are right that people who like Jackie Chan don't see his movies because of the director.

i'm not expecting a lot from jackie anymore, but i highly doubt the movie will be anywhere as bad as this teaser seems.
