I always look forward to reading the new publications put out by the Korean Film Council (KOFIC), especially the Korean Film Observatory (published quarterly) and the Korean Cinema yearbook. This year is no exception. Weighing in at a hefty 517 pages, the Korean Cinema 2006 yearbook is an invaluable resource, containing facts and figures not only for last year's films (both feature films and shorts), but also for works in production and slated for release sometime in 2007. There are also loads of pages of statistics for number crunchers.
