A second trailer is now online for Thai historical epic King Naresuan and it continues to impress me with its grand production scale. It easily surpass The Legend Of Suryiothai as the biggest Thai film production ever. In true spectacular fashion, director Chatrichalerm Yukol decided to expand the film as a three part trilogy according to Variety. Heres a brief rundown on the three parter from the article:
The first movie concerns the eponymous 16th-century king's childhood in Burma; the second centers on his war campaigns. The closing chapter will feature the historic elephant battle between Naresuan and Phra Maha Upparacha of Burma.
Sahamongkol Film plans to release the first part theatrically in Thailand on January 18th and then the second part will follow on Feburary 1st. The third and final part is currently in production for a release in the second half of 2007.

Yes, finally a movie from the people who brought us the Super Big Gulp Slurpee. ^^
i don't get it. what does 7-eleven's flagship product have to do with thailand in this instance? either the joke is over my head or you're just ignorant.
7-11 is one of the producers of this film. You would have got the joke if you actually watched the trailer.
That 7-11 logo totaly ruind the feel of the trailer but big dog got to eat I suppose.
Was it just me or did the people speak chinese in this trailer? I'm sure that Thailand has a bunch of different dialects so it must be one that I just haven't heard yet.
Elephant Battle. Sold.
legendy of suryiothai was pretty but boring & useless.
this should be no different.
I really don't understand the comments made so far.
The language spoken in the trailer was Thai.
As for 'The Legend of Sukhothai' being boring, it says a lot when the comments are made by somebody who can't even spell it right!
This should be just as good!!
this is an excellent series, who cares that 7-11 sponsored it -it's is beautifully made and amazingly well shot. Reserve judgement till you've seen it.
