LILY MUNSTER REUNITED IN DEATH WITH HUSBAND HERMAN

One of the hardest things about fandom is saying that final goodbye to the people that have made you smile, laugh, hold your breath and scream. Yvonne DeCarlo aka Lily Munster has died of natural causes. She was 84 years old. Is there anyone out there who hasn't enjoyed an episode of The Munsters? Thanks Yvonne for the ageless wit and class you brought to a role that so many less talented would have thought was beneath them.

When I think of The Munsters I think of my grandmother whose birthday was on Halloween. She used to tell me that she hoped she'd still get to dress up and pretend when she got to heaven. As I write this I'm wearing a red velvet smoking jacket and have a long stemmed sherlock meerscham gripped between my teeth. The Munsters was a daily reminder that it was not only okay to dress up and pretend but essential. CNN report here.
