Darcy Paquet, writing in his blog over at Koreanfilm.org, looks into his crystal ball and shares his visions with fellow Korean film lovers. Prediction numero uno -- Park Jin-pyo's Voice of A Murderer will be a huge critical and box office success, by which he means it will sell no less than 6 million tickets (slightly less than War of Flowers). He goes as far as to say that the faction-drama looks like the only sure-fire hit of the coming year. Director Park is uniquely equipped to bring the story of the kidnapping to life, having already worked on a TV documentary about the incident. The picture is slated for a February 1 release. Prediction 2: While the number of low-budget independent films will continue to rise, some 20% fewer pics will be released next year compared to 2006. Prediction 3 -- comedies will be back in force, partly because they are relatively inexpensive to produce and can yield high returns, like this year's hit 200 Pound Beauty. Other forecasts: Kim Ki-duk won't release his next film domestically; annual box office is headed downward; and perhaps the boldest (and most tantalizing) of all his pronouncements -- Jeon Do-yeon will win best actress at Cannes! Jeon will be starring in Lee Chang-dong's Secret Sunshine, the director's return to cinema after a long hiatus. The filmmaker/ writer/ former Minister of Culture recently received France's prestigious Medal of Honor.

I believe Secret Sunshine has been renamed A Wonderful World yo!
I just want Jeon Do-Yeon to win the prize at Cannes. She so deserves it. How can nobody haven't noticed her out of Korea yet ? That's so unbelievable.
if anyone is interested in watching an excellent movie starring Jeon Do Yeon AND Choi Min Sik get Happy End.
