Blood Trails - Poster for US Consumption

The German-made, English-language thriller Blood Trails won the Audience Award at this year's Dead By Dawn Horror Festival, and now it has new artwork.

Richard Brunton wrote a very balanced review, and if you click through you can also have a peak at the previous artwork. (I think the new art is more effective at conveying what the film is about.) When I saw it at Fantastic Fest, I didn't care for it at all -- I felt it was completely ineffective -- but I will note that it was a midnight screening and the 5th film I saw that day. Lead actress Rebecca Palmer was quite good.

Lionsgate Films is scheduled to release the film in the US and UK during the first quarter of 2007, according to the official site. That "widescreen" at the top of the artwork appears to indicate a DVD release, and it is listed for sale on the Amazon US site as of March 13, 2007. If we hear of any kind of theatrical release, we'll let you know.
