TMNT Trailer in Quicktime

tmntfunny.jpgThe trailer for TMNT was already online at the MTV site a few days back in crappy flash video quality but I opted to hold out a while longer till the trailer is put online in friendly quicktime format. As expected, a quicktime trailer is now available at the official site. How is it you ask? Coming from someone who grew up on the 80's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon, its like visiting an old friend that I haven't seen in a long time. There are plenty of interesting-looking monsters, cool ninja action and the animation looks great. Some may get turn off by the slapstick humor while others may find it charming. Personally, I think it would be a lot of fun to watch.

TMNT comes out in theaters on March 23rd.

Yeah I'm not sure the whole Cowabunga Dude humor is still working after all these years. I thought that this film was supposed to be somewhat serious and dark but after seeing this then...Meh.
Let's just say I won't activly seek it out.

For the love of god, ADAPT THE CITY AT WAR SERIES. Or any of the other great arcs from the Mirage series. The River, return to new york, and so on... Any of them could easily be toned down to a PG 13 level without loosing the tone of the original stories. It's not that TMNT should be adult (come on, it's talking kungfu practicing turtles...), but someone really needs to bring some of the great material of the original series to the screen.

I'm so watching this. So far the two teases they've released have given me feel good vibes. I hope I have loads of fun watching it.
