Johnnie To's Exiled Available TO Order On DVD!

(Posted In Action Asia DVD News DVD News )

exiled.jpgWhat can I say. Over the course of the past year I've gone from being a Johnnie To skeptic to a loyal zealot. Good god, this man's on a roll. Between the two stunning Election films and his latest, Exiled, the man has put together a troika of films that most film makers would kill to have on their resume. If you weren't lucky enough to catch Exiled on its festival run, are too impatient to wait for the North American release - and you really must see this on the big screen at some point, it's visually stunning - and are multi-region capable then you're about to get one very good early Christmas present. The Hong Kong DVD release of To's latest has been pushed ahead to December 19th and the DVD is now available to order. You know what to do.

So sweeet, I thought I would have to wait till the end of January to get this one, but this one is coming out just in time for Christmas. Definitely getting this one.

To didn't direct The Longest Nite. He produced it, though. I'd say The Mission is his best.

There's always been the rumors of To having ghost-directed The Longest Nite (as well as Yau's other works for Milkyway), looking at the film's style and quality (and comparing it with post-Milkyway Yau work) I'd say it's not entirely implausible...

This is Region 3. Do you think there will be a region-free release, or is this going to be it? Election and Election 2 were released as region-free by Panorama but this is Mega Star.

No, there won't be an R0 because this has already been picked up for North American release.
